All five Spice Girls recently got together for Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday bash, further fuelling rumours that there would be a proper reunion on the way.

However, If you are hoping for the classic five-piece line-up to Spice Up Your Life with a tour, then Posh has got some bad news for you.

In a new interview with Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria has poured cold water on the chances of teaming up with Sporty, Baby, Ginger and Scary again for a tour.

Despite having delighted guests at her birthday party - and fans online - by performing a rendition of Spice Girls single, Stop, with Geri Horner, Mel B, Melanie C and Emma Bunton, the fashion designer says not to expect to see them all on a stage near you.

She told Hollywood star Gwyneth on her Goop podcast: "So often people say 'Are you going to go back on tour?' I am not going to go back on tour, on the record. But I loved that time, and I'm so thankful, I love the girls and I'm so appreciative of the fans."

This bad news comes after months of speculation, and even hints from other members of the girl group, that they were going to reunite as a five-piece, after the other four members went on a massively successful Spice World tour back in 2019.

Yesterday, Victoria and David Beckham’s son Cruz shared a new video on Instagram of the Spice Girls singing along to another of their songs, Mama, while he plays acoustic guitar.

Elsewhere in her podcast chat, Royal Tenenbaums star Gwyneth asked Victoria what her favourite Spice Girls song is, to which she replied: “I like Say You'll Be There. I don't know if it's the song or the catsuit I love. That was the video that my husband was watching when he said: 'I'm gonna marry the one in the PVC catsuit. It has really lovely memories, that song."

On her time in the group, she said: “There were so many great songs, I really am so thankful. Fans couldn't have been more obsessed when they saw the group singing.”
